• Does it work?  the Health Education Authority says: "Research shows that there is more scientific evidence for Hypnotherapy than any other Complementary Therapy...by using hypnosis people can perform prodigious feats of willpower and self-healing..."
  • Is hypnotherapy safe?  hypnotherapy from a properly qualified practitioner is completely safe
  • Can I drive afterwards?  yes, you will be quite safe to drive after the session
  • Will I go unconscious?  it is unlikely that you will 'go out' and not remember anything
  • Will I lose control?  no, the client cannot and will not be made to do or think or say anything against his/her will
  • Will I be able to 'go under'?  everyone can go into trance, some may go deeper than others
  • What will I have to do?  you won't have to try and do, or not do anything
  • Is there anything paranormal about hypnosis?  nothing whatsoever, trance is a natural state
  • Is hypnosis connected to magic or the occult? categorically no
  • Is it like stage hypnosis?  no. Hypnosis in a medical context is quite different
  • What is trance?  it is a state of extreme relaxation and focussed attention
  • Will I have to undergo 'past life regression'?  Two Cities Hypnotherapy does not practice past life regression as a matter of course. Past life regression can be available on request.
  • Do I have to have any special belief?  No. Hypnotherapy is open to all faiths and none, but it is helpful to have confidence in your practitioner
  • How long will it take?  Every case is different, but usually clients require anything from 3 to 10 sessions, anti smoking is usually one double-length session
  • Is it confidential?  Hypnotherapists are covered by the same laws of confidentiality as your doctor
  • Can I talk about my problems?  There will always be time to talk about problems and your direction in life, but hypnotherapy does not rely on talking therapy like counselling
  • How much does it cost?  £50 per 1 hour session, £100 for anti-smoking session at Warmley.
  • How do I pay?  cash or cheque at the time of each session 
  • Are there concessions?  we do not like to turn away anyone in need, concessions are available in genuine cases of low income
  • Home visits?  Regrettably, home visits are not possible. It is important that hypnotherapy takes place in a proper clinical environment
  • Why do you offer allergy & nutrition advice?  because we believe that diet and allergy can affect your mental well-being
  • Do I have to have take advice on diet & allergy?  no. This is supplied on request
  • Does treatment always work for everyone? As with all kinds of therapies, there can be no guarantees, everyone is different.
